The reason we all have “bad manager” stories comes down to the fact that few people receive training and tools for becoming great managers. So many of us are thrown into a management role because we were great in a previous job—but we weren’t taught how to manage, lead, and coach people to full engagement and productivity.
Yet these people-management skills are vital. And not just for company success, but for the ripple effect they have on people’s lives. We spend most of our waking hours at work, and management skills can make the difference between those hours being a long, dispiriting slog or a fulfilling path toward growth and development.

Cofounder & CEO
With more than 18 years of management experience in the information technology and consulting space, Alicia understands what it takes to manage people effectively, even through the most complex situations. Before becoming CEO of MGR360, she brought her leadership, vision, and strategic oversight to many executive positions, including leading programs for eBay/PayPal, Google, and Anheuser-Busch.
Alicia graduated with a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in Management Information Systems. She also holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications.
Cofounder & Master Training Specialist
Joel has learned the value of great managers over a quarter century serving as CEO of both public and private companies. As CEO and cofounder of NetQoS, a network management software firm, he delivered 31 consecutive quarters of double-digit revenue growth and a $200 million valuation. In 2010, Joel cofounded Cache IQ, a storage software company that NetApp acquired two years later.
He is the author of two books, The CEO Tightrope and The Manager’s Tightrope—a complete guide to the manager’s role. He currently serves as CEO of Khorus, a company he founded to provide a business management system for chief executives.
Recruiting & Business Development
Casey has over five years of recruiting experience with Google and Robert Half.
She is experienced in full-cycle, agency, and corporate recruiting and enjoys partnering with hiring managers and candidates to ensure there is a great fit for all involved in the process. She is well versed in recruiting for sales, human resources, marketing, creative, and technical roles of various levels and capable of creating interview processes and compelling job descriptions.
Casey is also experienced in sales and direct marketing. She has participated in over 40 brand launches and has been recognized as a national top seller.
